Törggelen in South Tyrol

An autumn feast with the farmer.

The apple groves and vineyards shine in all colors. Golden yellow, burgundy, rust. The spiky chestnuts fall from the trees. It's finally Törggele time in South Tyrol! Taste the "Sußer" (must wine) and the new wine. Enjoy the traditional farmer's dishes: Schlutzkrapfen and Kasknödel, hearty house sausages and smoked meat, sweet jam-filled squares of flakey pastry and roasted chestnuts.

Our tip:

March straight from us to the higher-lying Zmailer or Holzner-Hof (each about half an hour walk). Catch the warm autumn sun rays on the balcony, let your gaze wander over the golden valley, enjoy the Sußer (must wine) and the roasted chestnuts.
